|SNEDEKER LEADS BRIDGESTONE ASSAULT ON FEDEX CUP
Front-Running Rookie of the Year Candidate Posts Sunday 63 en route to First PGA TOUR Win;
Bridgestone Places Four inside Top 10 at Wyndham
Covington, Ga. - PGA TOUR rising star Brandt Snedeker led an impressive Bridgestone Golf Tour Team assault on the FedEx Cup standings this week in Greensboro, NC at the Wyndham Championship. Snedeker used a final round 9-under par 63 to post a total score of 22-under, giving him a two-shot victory, the first PGA TOUR title of his career. In addition to Snedeker's blistering final round, fellow Bridgestone Tour Team members Shigeki Maruyama, Kevin Stadler and Will MacKenzie all used impressive weekend performances to secure a seventh place tie at the Wyndham Championship, vaulting them all into next week's Barclay's Classic, the first round of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
In addition to FedEx Cup eligibility, Snedeker, MacKenzie and Stadler rely on the new Bridgestone Golf Tour B330-S golf ball. The new Tour B330-S features a Softer Speed Elasticity Core for increased initial velocity at impact for increased distance off the tee. This was never more evident than when Snedeker reached both Par 5's (#13 and #15) in two during his back nine Sunday charge setting up two tap-in birdies in a barrage that included four birdies in five holes. In the final round, Snedeker boomed it an average of 304 yards off the tee.

"Winning in a close Sunday chase twice last year on the Nationwide Tour allowed me to experience what it feels like having to make low numbers coming down the stretch, " said Snedeker. "Another factor that helped, is that I am so comfortable with this ball (Tour B330-S), I had the confidence to fire at pins and go for the Par 5's in two when the tournament was on the line."
Snedeker tallied 24 birdies for the week placing him in eighth place in that category, including 10 birdies in the final round. With the 24 birdies, Snedeker is one of only two players with over 300 total birdies made for the 2007 season. While impressive, Snedeker's final round 63 was only his second lowest round of the season, as he still holds the record for lowest round on the PGA TOUR in 2007 with a 61 at the Buick Invitational on Torrey Pines - North Course.
"We are very excited for Brandt and the entire Bridgestone Tour Team," said Dan Murphy, Senior Director of Marketing - Bridgestone Golf, Inc. "It seems that all of our guys are starting to peak right now, just in time for the playoffs. This should be an incredible next four weeks."
