JAPAN TEAM WINS THE FIRST WOMEN’S WORLD CUP

Japanese team, Ai Miyazato and Rui Kitada, got the first victory at the Women’s World Cup held on Links Course at Fancourt, George, South Africa between February 11th and 13th 2005.

This was the first tournament of Women’s World Cup with three days rounds, better ball on the first day, alternate shot on the second and the stroke play on the last and they finished at 3-under 289.

Miyazato’s comment:
It was very tough tournament because of different type of rounds on each day and tough course setting. I am very much glad to win with excellent teamwork.
