1. Variable-thickness face + 7-piece construction realizes expanded repulsion area for off-center hits |
(1) Forged cup face – dual-arrow face
In the face, low-specific-gravity VL titanium is adopted to achieve weight reduction.
Further, a variable-thickness face design is employed to provide an expanded repulsion area for off-center hits.

(2) Seven-piece forged construction – 7-piece hybrid body
The head is composed of 7 parts. The crown is designed for significant deflection upon impact as it is made to 0.5 mm at the thinnest part. The body is press-molded with Ti-15-3-3-3, a β titanium alloy known for its high repulsion property, placed in the toe and heel areas to ensure high repulsion effect even on off-center hits. Thus, expansion of repulsion area has been achieved.

2. CG design excelling in distance performance, solid response, and maneuverability
In spite of its large head volume measuring 460 cm3, it has the lowest position of CG projected onto the face among the X-DRIVE series drivers, thus achieving its great distance performance (according to our data). Further, the angle of CG is increased to encourage fast club head rotation for solid contact, while the distance of CG is set shorter to improve maneuverability. |

3. Head profile inspiring confidence at set up
The head has a sharp-looking round profile measuring 460 cm3. It inspires confidence in the player at set up, due to its round heel prompting fast club head rotation for sold contact and its flat crown design makes it look easier to launch the ball onto the target line. |
